11 - 13 September 2021. In three sessions over three evenings, Portrait of the Artist as a Young Woman, Queer Agendas and Multiverse, we were spoiled with live readings and conversation from a spectacular group of writers.

Fabricated Reality

9 - 11 October 2021. Fabricated Reality looked at how stories draw from and reflect reality, and also fabricate new realities; for their characters, their authors and their readers. Discover the highlights of our Gala Night 2021

Our Gala Night saw Fijian-born Daren Kamali trade poems with Tongan/Aotearoa poet Karlo Mila. Award–winning journalist Simon Wilson addressed the theme Stranded in Paradise and singer-songwriter Charlotte Yates staged a literary/musical performance, traversing her four standout albums of New Zealand poetry-to-song accompanied by multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Show Pony and the golden voices of Julia Deans and Sandy Mill. The evening was MC'd by Pīta Turei.
