Especially for the Going West Books and Writers Festival, Te Uru's Learning Centre will again become a thriving showcase of artist books, catalogues, limited-edition publications, zines and more. The annual Indie Book Fair aims to celebrate and support the diversity of small-scale and independent productions, and the ongoing creativity and exuberance of the people behind them.
Participants this year include Artspace, Coulds Publishing, Dryden Street Distro, Gow Langsford Gallery, Index, Inky Palms, Objectspace, Remote Photobooks, ST Paul St, Te Tuhi, Te Uru, UNIFORM and more...
Spend your Sunday browsing the bespoke publications being produced by some of the best writers, designers, printers and artists, many of whom will be present. The third annual Indie Book Fair also includes a free badge-making activity, where participants can browse through a trove of vintage art mags to source the design for their own colourful badge to take away. All publications will be for cash sale (there is an ATM nearby in the village).
